The oldest of five siblings (Ginger, BJ, Leslie, Angel, and most recognized, fellow musician Aaron),at an early age, appeared groomed for success.
He was barely 13 when he got the chance of a lifetime: Carter became the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys upon their formation in 1992. A tour of Europe catapulted the boys into fame by 1994 and the young Carter was elated.
The Backstreet Boys broke America three years later with "Quit Playin' Games (With My Heart)" and "As Long as You Love Me," and the next few years would be unstoppable for the vocal quintet. Their self-titled American debut sold 13 million copies.
Nick Carter was linked to hotel heiress Paris Hilton, and by late 2003, the two were publicly dating. The relationship ended in 2004. In 2005, Carter was arrested in Huntington Beach, California for drunk driving
More recently, Nick's team of racing boats, Nick Carter Racing, won its category in the OS Worlds in Daytona, Florida. His first solo album was "Now Or Never", released in March 2002 and his first solo single "Help Me" was taken from the album.
