Mottola was so impressed while listening to the tape in his limo that he hurried back to the party to find Mariah.
Resume: Mariah signed with Columbia, and in 1990 her self-titled album produced four number one singles, "Vision of Love," "Love Takes Time," "Someday," and "I Don't Wanna Cry."
Her much anticipated second album, Emotions, was just as successful with the title track reaching number one, along with two other top five hits, "Can't Let Go" and "Make It Happen".
