Kirilenko was unseeded at the 2009 Wimbledon Championships. She defeated Petra Kvitova in the first round 6-4, 6-4. However, she lost 6-0, 6-4 to number 9 seed Caroline Wozniacki in the second round in the mixed doubles they got to the second round beating Andy Ram Isreal and Anna Chakvetadze Russia in the first round of mixed doubles the score was 6-2 3-6 6-2 to progress to second round but lost giving Christopher Kas GER (16)/ Chia-Jung Chuang a walkover.
