Discovered: Hayden was discovered when his older sister Hejsa, a former trampoline champion, was shopping around for an agent. No one was home to baby-sit him so he went along and it was suggested that he get an agent himself.
Hayden Christensen is a young Canadian actor who has gone relatively unnoticed in the United States up until the announcement that he was signed as Anakin Skywalker in the ever popular Star Wars prequels.
Like many over-night sucesses that are ten years in the making, Christensen has been acting since the age of thirteen in various TV dramas since 1994. His biggest break before Star Wars was being casted in the Fox Family network's "Higher Ground" where Hayden played Scott Barringer; a character who turned to drugs after being seduced by his stepmother. He also worked alongside award winning Kevin Kline in the drama "Life as a House" in which Hayden was nominated for a Golden Globe for his breakthrough performance.
