Discovered: Britney began singing and performing at a very early age. Before her teens she had made an appearance on the syndicated television show Star Search. With this on her resume, she auditioned for Disney's the Mickey Mouse Club for the second time at age 11. At 8 Britney was turned away from the show as the producers felt she was too young.
Determined, Britney spent the next three years studying the performing arts professionally, and on her second attempt at the Mickey Mouse Club she earned a spot on the show's roster. While on the show, she shared the stage with future pop sensations Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, who she would later become romantically involved with.
