Adam Sandler was born Adam Richard Sandler on September 9th, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Stan and Judy Sandler.
Adam grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire.
First stand up comedy experience was at the age of 17 at the Boston Comedy Club.
Sandler earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1991 from New York University.
He not only has a gift of comedy, but also writes his material and writes the songs in his movies.
In THE WEDDING SINGER, he toned down a bit, excelling in a comedic, romantic role.
His three comedy CD's went platnum.
Many of Adam's songs, such as The Chanukah Song did well on the Billboard Charts.

Adam Sandler was discovered by Dennis Miller while performing in a comedy club in Los Angeles. This led to a stint on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, where he not only performed but wrote for the show.
Adam Sandler's defining role was BILLY MADISON, that he had helped to write with Tim Herlihy.
